What I Have Become
I’ve decided to change my life. I am tired of being out of shape, depressed, unhappy, and not feeling like I should. I used to be in shape. I once was an “athlete”, who couldn’t go a few days without an intense workout or a good run. I hate looking at myself as an ex-athlete. It’s time for me to stop being lazy. It’s time to stop destroying my body by eating poorly. It’s time for me to get in the best shape of my life.
I am 35 years old, married to an amazing woman, and the father of two adorable children. I work a desk job and spend most of the day sitting on my ass in front of a computer. With most jobs, comes stress - and stress is a big contributor to my physical situation. I have transfered the lazy nature of my job into other areas of my life. I make lazy choices with the food I eat, the frequency with which I exercise has become sporadic, and the thought I have put towards my health has been missing.
