P90X: The Before’s
So today I had to take my body measurements and “before” pictures. I have been dreading this, but it has to be done.
First, I stepped on the scale. I weighed a heavy 213.4 lbs. Next, was to measure my body fat index. I used a body fat caliber for this. I came in at disturbing 24.5% body fat. Since, I would like to be close to single digits, I have my work cut out for me.
The rest of my measurements were:
- Chest – 44″
- Waist – 39.5″
- Hips – 40″
- Right Thigh – 22″
- Left Thigh – 22.5″
- Right Bicep – 15″
- Left Bicep – 15″
I did some calculations and here are some numbers I came up with. My current lean mass is 162 lbs. My current fat mass is 51lbs. My goal for my body fat % is 9%, which means I would have a goal weight of 178 lbs. As you can see, I got my work cut out for me. I like setting tough goals for myself!
So we come to the most embarrassing part – posting my pictures. Posting them will keep me honest though, won’t it? Also, it will be a good benchmark for others who are interested in seeing what the P90X workout can do for you.
